This was to be our long day of walking and it WAS! We started out early and the fog was thick.

And we walked and walked and walked…for over eight hours. At one point in the afternoon, we saw no other pilgrims on the trail for almost an hour. We questioned if we were on the correct path but we kept seeing markers. So we persevered. We walked about 24 km (14-15 miles) and were completely worn out when we arrived at our accommodations. The general atmosphere of the people is one of excitement as we get closer to Santiago. It was a real treat to see this sign during the afternoon.
