We started out from Teo and discovered fog over the fields.

We discovered a few interesting and unique sights along our 8 mile walk into Santiago. The walk was not as strenuous as the prior two days, but challenging, none the less. We were excited when we arrived at Monte do Gozo (Hill of Joy) of the Portuguese Way. We were able to finally see (in the far distance) the spires of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. I’ve included a distant picture and a close-up of the spires.

We arrived in the Plaza del Obradoiro at the Cathedral! After celebrating this accomplishment, we went to the Pilgrims’ Office to get our Compostelas (certificates).

You have arrived! Truly you have made the pilgrimage together. Prayer, contemplation, community. You have joined the march of faith that has been going on for centuries. Twice.
I was listening to my file, Olivia Plays the Harp, this morning. I looked at your photos of the last days on the Camino. I so love everything you have shared. Thank you my friend.
Congratulations on a significant accomplishment, Holly and Mike!
I’ve enjoyed the journal and pics along your way and am totally impressed…

Wow, Holly, what a wonderful journey. I too am so impressed…I can’t quite imagine walking those distances any more. And for you both to have done it, together, twice – I look forward to hearing how it was different this time. Thank you so much for the photos and vignettes, it was fun to follow along. Congratulations!!
What an amazing journey! Physically, mentally and spirtually, it looks like a long way walking. I especially appreciate you took 2 steps to your partner’s one! Safe travels home.
